Geneva (Jul. 19)
The Secretariat of the League of Nations today sent a memorandum to all its members informing them officially of the request made by Norway that the question of Jewish and other refugees from Germany be placed on the agenda of the next session of the League in September.
According to the declaration made by M. Koht, Foreign Minister of Norway, the Norwegian government proposes that an international agreement be arrived at whereby all Jewish and other refugees from Germany will be placed under the direct protection of the League of Nations.
A similar recommendation was made the other day by James G. McDonald, the League’s High Commissioner for Refugees, in his report before the governing body of the High Commission.
