Dr. Saul Tschernichovsky, the unofficial Hebrew poet laureate since the death of Chaim Nachman Bialik, was today elected an honorary citizen of this all-Jewish city by the Municipal Council.
The Council appropriated $2,500 to be contributed to the fund for the support of the family of the late chief rabbi of Palestine, Abraham Hacohen Kook.
