Increasing Nazi anti-Jewish agitation today prompted the Bishop of Copenhagen in company with three professors of the University of Copenhagen to issue a statement through the official Danish press agency, Ritzauburo, demanding that the Government suppress anti-Semitic literature.

The statement, signed by Fuglsang Damgaard, Bishop Copenhagen, and Professors Aage Bentzon, Johannes Pedersenn and Federik Torm, counseled the Danes against “lying anti-Jewish tales” such as the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. The statement warned against the spreading of race hatred against a part of the Danish people.
