The Government today asked Rabbi Moshe Blau, leader of the extreme orthodox Agudath Israel, for a full report of his speech in Tel Aviv in which he discussed his organization’s policy with respect to the Wailing Wall.
The request followed allegations in El Liwaa, Arab daily, that Rabbi Blau said the Agudah was upholding Jewry’s claim to ownership of the bitterly disputed remnant of the Second Temple. Use of the wall was regulated by a special League of Nations commission.
