A dangerous increase in anti-Jewish agitation was predicated in Jewish circles today following a statement by Vice-Mayor Kresse of this city applauding an anti-Semitic address by the Jesuit Father Bichlmaier.

“I recognize and welcome the attitude of Father Bichlmaier towards the Jews,” Herr Kresse said. He added that the Jesuit’s demands would form the basis of his policy.

In a lecture before a packed hall Friday night, Father Bichlmaier demanded that Jews be expelled from public life and urged introduction of the “Aryan Paragraph” against Jewish converts.
