Jews were today stated to be exempt from the order of Bernhard Rust, Minister of Education, providing for abolition of private schools. On the same day the order becomes effective, Easter Sunday, Jewish children will be barred from the public schools.

Holding that continuance of private grammar schools would run counter to the educational principles of the Nazis, Rust declared that the Government would permit Jews to operate the private schools because it was not interested in education of Jewish children.
