A delegation representing workers’ organizations today presented a petition to Premier Manuel Azana demanding withdrawal of a subvention of 400,000 pesetas for the Spanish Olympic team.

The Premier replied that he was personally against Spain’s participation in the games at Berlin this Summer, but that the Government was obliged to keep its international obligations and follow the example of other democratic Governments.
