Two Polish administrative officials today supported the claim of Jews that disorders in Przytyk last March 9 in which three persons were killed and scores injured were planned in advance by the anti-Semitic Nationalists (Endeks.)
Testifying in District Court, where 43 Poles and 14 Jews are being tried on charges arising from the disturbances, M. Licke, chief of the Department of Security for the Radom District, said the Endeks had conducted a bitter anti-Semitic campaign before the outbreak.
He pointed out that disorders in Ordzywol in which peasants had been killed by the police had been used by the Nationalists to incite the peasants. Licke denied assertions of witnesses for the Christian defendants that the Jews had a self-defence unit. His testimony was supported by a Przytyk police official.
The court admitted in evidence the appeals of the Przytyk Jewish Community to the authorities in Radom and Kielce before the disturbances on March 9. Records of telephoned and telegraphed pleas before and during the rioting were introduced. Thirty-five witnesses were examined today.
