Fascists are deliberately attempting to create racial strife in England and are using methods calculated to provoke violence and bloodshed, James Hall, Laborite, charged in the House of Commons today.

Geoffrey Lloyd, Under-Secretary of the Home Office, replied that the police commissioner was taking special steps to deal with any attempt to insult or molest Jews.

Fascist anti-Jewish activities in London’s East End, thickly populated with Jews, are increasing, George Lansbury, Laborite, declared.

Sir Percy Harris, Liberal, asked Mr. Lloyd whether the Government was aware that violence against the Jews is not confined to the Stepney district, but is going on all over the East End in the most offensive and provocative manner.

Mr. Lloyd promised that Sir John Simon, Home Secretary, would give the question further consideration in the light of the additional information.
