Dr. Stephen S. Wise has accepted a bid to run for president of the Zionist Organization of America at its convention July 4 in Providence, it was learned today. Morris Rothenberg announced last week he would run again.

Dr. Wise’s readiness to become president was made known just as he was preparing to sail on the Normandie Wednesday to address a conference in London for the World Jewish Congress and to cooperate with Dr. Chaim Weizmann in negotiations on the Palestine situation.

Dr. Wise’s acceptance was understood to have been tendered at a meeting of Zionist leaders in New York Monday night over which Louis Lipsky presided.
