Development of the “Black Legion” in the United States is “not astonishing,” declares the Voelkischer Beobachter today.
The chief organ of the Nazi Party, and the personal property of Reichs-fuehrer Adolf Hitler, attributes rise of the hooded terrorist band to the “troublesome social condition, insufficient socio-political legislation, feverish Communist activities and particularly the growth of the Jewish influence in eastern United States and Washington.”
The Beobachter attacks Congressman Samuel Dickstein, co-author of a joint resolution calling for a Congressional investigation of the Black Legion, calling him “the well-known Jewish hate monger.”
