Tension rose in Tiberias tonight when Arabs stoned Jews and darkened the city by damaging the electric service. Several bomb explosions occurred.

Police dispersed crowds of Arabs demonstrating against Jews. A rifle stolen from a Jewish policeman was recovered.

A military truck overturned near Nablus, killing a British lance corporal and injuring the remaining occupants, one of them seriously.

Three Jews earlier reported arrested in Jaffa at the scene of the ambushing of a camel caravan, were only interrogated, it was ascertained.

High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope visited the concentration camp at Sarafand and inspected troops.
