A protest against the establishment of a Jewish National home in the Holy Land, issued by Arab Christians to Christians the world over, has been published by the Reichspost, official organ of the Austrian government.

The Arabs, the statement proclaims, have again and again attempted to protest against this “unjust policy” by strikes and public demonstrations “which, unfortunately, were sometimes the cause of unintentional acts of violence.”

Accusing the British government of suppressing Arab opinion by force, the statement declares that no attempt has been made to erase the fear of Arab leaders that their people’s security is endangered.

“If there had not been the danger of their entire enslavement,” the document reads, “the Arab people would not have gone on strike and would not have been resolved to carry on with the strike as long as the danger to its existence had not been removed.”
