British Jewry marshalled its forces today in a determined effort to prevent the threatened temporary suspension by the Palestine Government of Jewish immigration into the Holy Land.

The British section of the Jewish Agency for Palestine summoned a special conference of all representatives of Anglo-Jewry for September 7.

Lord Melchett, noted industrialist, will preside at the conference. Neville Laski, president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, will submit a series of resolutions and Prof. Selig Brodetsky, member of the London executive of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, will be among the principal speakers.
