Rebel authorities have ordered the dissolution of Jewish communal administrative bodies in Spanish Morocco, it was learned here today. Jewish homes in Tetuan, where Jewish leaders have been arrested and the community forced to "contribute" $60,000 to the rebel cause, are now occupied by insurrectionist troops.
Reports from Spanish Morocco quote spokesmen for the Jews as saying that their situation is growing more intolerable daily and report that rebel commanders are demanding gold tribute from Jewish colonies.
