Private advices today from the village of Zambrow in the Lomza district said that a peasant mob yesterday attacked Jewish market stalls, smashing windows and wounding fifteen Jews.
Police reinforcements from neighboring towns restored order. The mob was incited by Endeks, members of the anti-Semitic National Democratic Party.
According to the official police version of the disturbances, three stalls were upset, one window broken, no Jews were attacked and local police restored order.
Officials of the town’s Jewish community gave the contradictory version of what occurred.
