Palestine, Syria’s principal market, purchased more Syrian goods in 1935 than all other countries combined with an import total of 5,342,917 Syrian pounds, it was disclosed today. (The Syrian pound equalled five French francs before devaluation).

The United States, Syria’s fifth largest customer, imported her goods to the extent of 553, 967 Syrian pounds in the same period. The United States displaced Turkey as the fourth largest source of Syrian supply, having sold her 2,064,939 pounds in goods.
