Nine persons were arrested here today during two demonstrations in support of home industry and jailed in the neighboring city of Jaffa despite the intervention of Dov Hos, Deputy Mayor of Tel Aviv.
Eight youths were arrested during a laborite demonstration. One of them is the son of David Remez, leader of the Histadruth, Jewish federation of labor in Palestine.
A man carrying a banner was arrested during a demonstration of the Brith Trumpeldor, uniformed right-wing Zionist organization.
