WARSAW (Oct. 30)
Ten Jews were seriously injured today in a violent anti-Semitic outbreak in the township of Sniadowo in the district of Bialystok.
A peasant mob, incited by Nationalist agitators, staged a sudden raid on the town’s shopping center, beat up Jewish stall owners and pillaged the stalls.
Police reinforcements were rushed from the neighboring town of Lomza and arrested eleven of the attackers. The mob, enraged by the arrests, stormed the police station but was repelled.
Other excesses were reported today to have occurred in the same district. A bitter anti-Jewish boycott in the township of Tzyzew, instigated by Nationalists, flared into open violence.
