The six-man British Royal Commission appointed last July to investigate underlying causes of Arab disorders which in six months took a toll of more than 314 lives left for Palestine today.
Viscount Peel, chairman, told reporters prior to departure he was confident “in the capacity of his colleagues to handle this most untractable situation.” He described as “difficult, delicate,” the problems the commission will be called on to consider in Palestine.
Colonial Secretary William Ormsby-Gore and other officials were present to see the Commission off.
