The Portuguese Government today conferred the Order of Santiago da Espada, the highest scientific decoration in Portugal, on William Oualid, Professor of Law at the University of Paris.
Dr. Oualid, who was born in Algeria, is vice-president of the Alliance Israelite Universelle.
