The rector of Cracow University today postponed the scheduled re-opening of the institution after Jewish students categorically refused his suggestion that they accept segregation on the left side of lecture rooms. The school has been closed since last week as a result of anti-Semitic disorders.
The rector, who had been acting at the behest of Nationalist students, declared he could no longer act as mediator. The school will not be reopened until peace is assured, he said.
