Vice-Admiral Edward O.B.S. Osborne, lecturing to the Near and Middle East Association on Mediterranean problems, warned last night that Italy was anxious to occupy Egypt and Palestine, and such occupation was inevitable if she succeeded in closing the Mediterranean.
