The Colonial Office declared yesterday that it did not know whether the Royal Commission, upon its return from Palestine, would hear evidence by Winston Churchill, Sir Herbert Samuel and others, as reported here Friday.

The Manchester Guardian, commenting on the report, expressed the belief that such a development was unlikely. It added, however, that the Royal Commission could do what it liked and call whomever it pleased.
