Nazis See Premier Blum’s Appeal As “jewish Put-up Job”

Premier Blum’s appeal for cooperation was rejected by the Voelkischer Beobachter as “a deal which is nothing else but an Oriental Jewish put-up job,” the Herald Tribune reported from Berlin, in an editorial believed to reflect the views of Chancellor Hitler.

“Blum’s speech is made from a viewpoint which is offensive to us, since it involves an effort to make political capital out of our alleged economic and financial distress,” the Nazi Party organ was quoted as stating.
