Delegates representing more than 100 Galician Jewish societies in the United States, meeting at the Hotel Pennsylvania, decided to form an American Committee for the Aid of Jews in Galicia and asked relief organizations to increase appropriations for Galician Jews. The speakers’ list included Dr. Samuel Margoshes, Hillel Rogoff and Rabbi Louis I. Newman.
