Dr. Joseph Patai Named Leader of Union of Hungarian Jews

Dr. Joseph Patai, Zionist leader and writer, was unanimously elected president of the Union of Hungarian Jews at the annual meeting here.

The following message from Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, was read: “We must await calmly, in full consciousness of our rights, the results of the Royal Commission’s inquiry. Whatever the Royal Commission’s proposals or the Mandatory’s decisions may be, we are determined to continue our work and carry on unshakably with redoubled energy.”
