An Argentine section of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, recognized by the League of Nations as supreme Jewish authority in Holy Land affairs, was formed here today under the supervision of Lord Melchett, prominent British industrialist and Jewish leader who is here on a tour of the Americas. Zionist and non-Zionist leaders comprise the new body on the same parity principle upon which the parent organization is constituted.
The sum of $10,000 was raised for the Palestine emergency campaign at a reception to Lord and Lady Melchett last night at the home of Ezra Tcubal, well-known industrialist.
