Scattered Violence Continues in Holy Land

One Arab carrying a rifle was arrested and another escaped today after shots had been fired into a Jewish settlement at Kfar Saba in a continuation of scattered violence in various parts of Palestine.

Two bombs thrown in the Maccabi quarter bordering Tel Aviv exploded, but caused no damage. No arrests were made.

Jewish special police were fired upon at Ein Charod, but no injuries were reported. Scattered shots were fired at Kerem Avram in Jerusalem.

No disorders marked the celebration of the Prophet Mohammed’s birthday, a Moslem holiday. In Jerusalem, hundreds of Mohammedans gathered to hear the Grand Mufti read the Koran.
