FOURTEEN WERE HURT AND SIX ARRESTED TODAY AS A RESULT OF CLASHES BETWEEN NAZIS AND THEIR OPPONENTS DURING THE COURSE OF THE NIGHT, THE HAVAS NEWS AGENCY REPORTED.

THE FIRST OCCURRED ON AVENUE ANDRASSY, TERMINATING IN MUSSOLINI SQUARE WHEN POLICE ARRIVED AND CLEARED THE STREETS. THE SECOND AND MORE SERIOUS CLASH OCCURRED A LITTLE LATER WHEN ANTI-NAZIS TRIED TO BREAK UP A MEETING IN A WORKING-CLASS DISTRICT. FLYING FISTS GAVE WAY TO EXCHANGES OF REVOLVER FIRE. POLICE ALSO DISPERSED THE CROWDS ON THIS OCCASION.
