A GROUP OF “MAXIMUM ZIONISTS” LEFT A CONFERENCE OF THE NEW ZIONIST ORGANIZATION TODAY AS A TENDENCY MANIFESTED ITSELF AMONG DELEGATES TO REJOIN THE WORLD ZIONIST ORGANIZATION TO PREVENT A MAJORITY FAVORING THE PALESTINE PARTITION PLAN AT THE NEXT ZIONIST CONGRESS.

VLADIMIR JABOTINSKY, WORLD PRESIDENT OF THE N.Z.O., WHICH BOLTED THE WORLD ZIONIST ORGANIZATION IN 1933, SHARPLY ATTACKED THE PARTITION PLAN AND PREDICTED TO THE 400 DELEGATES THAT THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT WOULD WITHDRAW IT AT ITS FIRST OPPORTUNITY.

POINTING OUT THAT THE POPULATION DENSITY OF THE PROPOSED JEWISH STATE WOULD BE AS GREAT AS GERMANY’S AND ITALY’S, HE WARNED THAT IF THE PARTITION PLAN WENT THROUGH, IT WOULD SOON BECOME NECESSARY TO PROHIBIT IMMIGRATION, ADDING THE BELIEF THAT BRITAIN WOULD DO NOTHING TO ENABLE THE TRANSFER OF ARABS FROM THE PROPOSED STATE.
