Jerusalem Curfew to Continue Until Military Courts Start Work

TWELVE-HOUR CURFEW WILL PROBABLY PREVAIL IN JERUSALEM UNTIL NOV. 18, WHEN THE NEWLY ESTABLISHED MILITARY COURTS WHICH ARE EMPOWERED TO METE OUT DEATH SENTENCES FOR ACTS OF TERRORISM, BEGIN TO FUNCTION, IT WAS LEARNED TODAY.

CURFEW WAS IMPOSED YESTERDAY, FOR THE SECOND TIME WITHIN A MONTH, WHEN TWO ARABS WERE KILLED AND TWO OTHERS WOUNDED IN A BOMB EXPLOSION NEAR THE POST OFFICE.

POLICE YESTERDAY KILLED AN ARAB IN AN EXCHANGE OF SHOTS WITH TWO ARABS CAUGHT FIRING INTO THE VILLAGE OF SALFIHA, IN THE NABLUS AREA.

AN ARAB CONSTABLE WAS SHOT AND SLIGHTLY INJURED BY A SNIPER OUTSIDE THE BETHLEHEM POLICE STATION. THE SON OF THE MUKHTARS (NATIVE VILLAGE CHIEF) OF MIGDAL ZEDEK WAS SHOT AND SERIOUSLY WOUNDED, REPORTEDLY FOR GIVING INFORMATION TO THE POLICE AGAINST TERRORISTS.
