141,500 Jews Killed in World War, Berlin Figures Show

A TOTAL OF 141,500 JEWISH SOLDIERS OF ALL NATIONS WERE KILLED IN THE WORLD WAR, ACCORDING TO FIGURES PUBLISHED IN BERLIN BY DAS SCHILD, ORGAN OF THE REICH UNION OF JEWISH EX-SERVICEMEN. THE FALLEN WERE AMONG AN ESTIMATED 1,500,000 WHO FOUGHT ON BOTH SIDES IN THE WAR.

DISTRIBUTION OF FATALITIES BY NATIONS FOLLOWS: RUSSIA, 80,000; AUSTRIA, 30,000; GERMANY, 12,000; HUNGARY, 10,000; FRANCE, 4,000; UNITED STATES, 3,000; GREAT BRITAIN, 2,500. SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND JEWS SERVED IN THE RUSSIAN ARMY; 250,000 IN THE AMERICAN; 200,000 IN THE AUSTRIAN; 100,000 IN THE GERMAN AND 55,000 IN THE BRITISH.
