A NUMBER OF PROMINENT JEWS HAVE RESIGNED FROM THE LIBERAL PARTY, IT WAS REVEALED HERE TODAY, AS A RESULT OF THE PARTY’S COALITION WITH THE ANTI-SEMITIC RUMANIAN FRONT AND NATIONAL DEMOCRATS. AMONG THEM ARE ADVOCATE KARL STEINBERG AND ADVOCATE B.S. DUBINSKI, BOTH HIGH RANKING PARTY MEMBERS. A NUMBER OF OTHERS ARE EXPECTED TO TAKE SIMILAR ACTION.

MEANWHILE, THE JEWISH PARTY ANNOUNCED ITS SLATE FOR THE DECEMBER GENERAL ELECTIONS. IT IS HEADED BY DR. THEODOR FISCHER, MISHA WEISSMAN, DR. SAMUEL SINGER, ADVOCATE BENEVENISTI AND DR. MEYER EBNER.

“RUMANIA WILL ALLY ITSELF WITH ITALY AND GERMANY 48 HOURS AFTER THE VICTORY OF THE IRON GUARD,” CORNELIU CODREANU, HEAD OF THE PRO-FASCIST NATIONALIST LEAGUE, WARNED, ACCORDING TO THE HAVAS NEWS AGENCY.

CODREANU MADE HIS STATEMENT A FEW HOURS AFTER NICHOLAS-TITULESCU, FORMER FOREIGN MINISTER KNOWN FOR HIS OPPOSITION TO THE ROME-BERLIN AXIS AND HIS FRIENDSHIP FOR FRANCE AND BRITAIN, RETURNED TO RUMANIA FROM AN UNINTERRUPTED 18 MONTHS’ STAY ABROAD.
