A resolution demanding energetic French intercession in Rumania was adopted here last night at a public meeting sponsored by the World Congress Against Racism and Anti-Semitism. Ten thousand persons jammed Japy Hall while 5,000 others stood outside listening to the speeches through loudspeakers.
The resolution declares France made great sacrifices for Rumania and therefore has the right to intervene in the interests of the nation’s minorities. Principal speakers included former Justice Minister Vincent de Moro-Giafferi, trade union leader Leon Jouhaux, Bernard Lecache and representatives of leading political parties.
