Colonel Josiah C. Wedgwood, British Laborite member of Parliament arrived here yesterday on the President Roosevelt. Speaking at a reception given for the American Jewish Congress by Arthur Lamport, Colonel Wedgwood said that the heavy load of refugees carried on the President Roosevelt consisted of the more fortunate minority of European Jews. “They are a small example of the thousands unable to escape,” he said.
