The Paraguayan Consulate here is still receiving applications from Austrian Jews for a “foreign legion” to be colonized in Paraguay, and which will be prepared to bear arms against Bolivia in the event that the Gran Chaco dispute breaks out anew. This is contrary to denials published abroad of the original report that Paraguay was recruiting Austrian Jews.
