The Archbishop of Canterbury has told H.A. Goodman, secretary of the Agudath Israel, that he found it difficult adequately to express his sympathy with the unfortunate Austrian Jews. He added, during the interview, that he would bear in mind the position of the Austrian Jews in any communication with the British Government, although he found the question of effective intervention difficult.
