Anti-Semitism was denounced by Dr. Vladimir Macek, leader of the Croatian Peasant Party and head of the United Opposition, in an interview published today.
“We Croats,” Dr. Macek is quoted as stating, “do not hate Jews; neither is Jew-hatred known in democracies throughout the world. Anti-Semitism is characteristic of the morals of certain circles which are today leading the world. Jews are made the scapegoats of any failure. We Croats will not follow that example.”
Regent Prince Paul today expressed sympathy for the Jewish people and Palestine upbuilding during an audience granted to Dr. David Albala, vice-president of the Union of Jewish Communities.
