“The libelous propaganda being spread by irresponsible elements in this country against Jews” was denounced yesterday at the semi-annual meeting of the executive committee of the National Conference of Jews and Christians in a resolution which warned “members of religious groups who are countenancing such propaganda that anti-Semitism is but an opening wedge to the destruction of the rights and liberties of Christians.”

The resolution, which was introduced by Dr. Samuel McCrea Cavert, general secretary of the Federal Council of Churches of Christ in America, noted that differences of opinion on foreign political events were creating “mutual suspicion” among religious groups here. It called on Americans of all races and creeds to abjure attempts to arouse one group against another and to reject all propaganda designed to injure any group.
