A nation-wide campaign against “havlagah” — the non-retaliation policy pursued by the Palestine Jews was launched today by the New Zionist Organization. The organization proclaimed July 31 as “Ben Josef Day” marking the end of the 30 days’ mourning period for the Jewish youth executed in Palestine during which meetings will be held in 30 towns.

At the same time leaflets were widely circulated reproducing a letter sent two months ago by Col. Josiah Wedgwood, pro-Zionist member of the British parliament, to the Jewish Union of Army Officers in Tel Aviv purportedly denouncing the self-restraint policy and urging non-cooperation with the government, non-payment of taxes and deliverance of Jewish prisoners by force.

A meeting of the bund, Jewish Socialist party, stressed that the upbuilding of Palestine did not afford a solution of the Jewish problem.
