Sudeten Firemen Let Jew’s House Burn

Download PDF for this date

Firemen in the village of Lauterbach, at the behest of Sudeten Germans, declined to proceed to a Jewish-owned building which was on fire, the newspaper Sozialdemokrat reports. The house burned down, the paper said, and police arrested ten men, including several prominent Sudeten Germans.

During disorders yesterday at Cesky Krumlov, part of a crowd of Sudeten Germans started a search for Jews after police had prevented them from entering a street where a group of opponents had formed.
