Published reports said today that Sir Charles Tegart, of the Indian police, has returned to Palestine where he had earlier this year advised the Palestine administration in the campaign to crush Arab terrorism. It was also reported that Major-General Robert H. Haining, commander-in-chief of British forces in Palestine, has taken over all security forces including the police, with Sir Charles second in command to direct the latter.
