The Ottawa Citizen, seeing the dream of a Jewish Palestine apparently faded, today suggested editorially an alternative homeland in Canada, “where at trail resources are more than sufficient to support twenty million people.” the editorial said that “Canadian sentiments make it possible for more exiled and persecuted people to find a sanctuary in Canada,” expressing the hope that the Arabs might permit Palestine to remain a cultural home of the Jews.
