The Government today announced military, wartime-like control of transport and travel throughout Palestine. Starting November 1, no person will be permitted to drive a motor vehicle or travel in rural areas by rail or motor without a permit by the authorities. The permit must bear the owner’s photograph and will be issued for single trips or for permanent use.
