Charging that Father Charles E. Coughlin had broken a promise to delete from his address last Sunday passages “calculated to incite religious and racial strife in America,” Stat on YMCA has telegraphed the “radio priest” advising him that hereafter he must submit all scripts 48 hours in advance of broadcast and must omit inciting passages, otherwise his broadcasts will be cancelled on this station. Failure to receive an acceptable script by tonight would result in cancellation of this Sunday’s broadcast, the station management said.
