Ukrainians Demand Autonomy in Polish Provinces

Download PDF for this date

Ukrainian deputies in the Sejm today formally demanded territorial autonomy for Eastern Galicia and Volhynia, Polish provinces which are heavily populated by Jews. If the demand is satisfied, changes would include setting up of special schools for Polish, Ukrainian and Jewish children. Funds from taxation would be divided equally between the Polish Treasury and that of the autonomous government.
