Various Jewish problems, including the emigration question, were discussed today in a conference between foreign Minister Nicolas Petrescu-Comnen and Dr. Wilhelm Fildermann, president of the Union of Rumanian Jews.

Reception of Dr. Fildermann by the Foreign Minister was regarded as a sign that the Rumanian Government intends to solve the Jewish Question by new and extremely unfavorable methods. Some such development was forecast by the Rumanian press, which emphasized the anti-Jewish implications of a recent speech by Interior Minister Armand Calinescu.

Dr. Fildermann submitted to Petrescu Comnen a memorandum stressing the tragic plight of thousands of Jews who have been deprived of their citizenship under the citizenship revision law.
