Great Britain has issued 1,208 certificates for the immediate transfer of Jewish children from Austria and Germany to Palestine, the largest group to be permitted entry during any one immigration schedule so far, Hadassah announced today after a national board meeting. With the arrival of the new settlers there will be 4,300 child refugees in Palestine, To facilitate immediate movement of the children blank certificates were granted, a change in British policy, which previously required an advance list of names of prospective immigrants.
