The Marchioness of Reading arrived here today on the Normandie for a speaking tour in behalf of the United Palestine Appeal. Lady Reading, who is leader in child welfare activities and Zionist work in England, said in a statement that “America and Palestine find homes for more refugees than any other country,” but warned that “unless the nations of the world that stand for freedom and democracy act quickly, the entire Jewish population in Germany will be wiped out.” Sir Victor Sassoon, British Jewish banker, also arrived on the Normandie on his way back to Shanghai.
